Ben Affleck will be the producer of the film, and the script will write Gillian Flynn. The extraordinary idea of two random passers by that first met on the train, exchange crimes, was in Hitchcock's Central storyline.

No. No. No. No. Strangers on a Train is perfect. There is NO need for a remake.
And any remake you attempt, will only pale in comparison to the original. Particularly if it stars the minimally talented Affleck.Do something original Fincher.

If a Strangers on a Train remake was to be made I'm glad that it's at least Fincher on the case. I'm still of the opinion though that the original is a masterpiece and shouldn't be touched.
