Peter Jackson has said he’s finished with the franchise but looking at the strong box office the studio will be planning sequels or spin-offs to this lucrative franchise. With the end of Harry Potter Part 2 Warners had said that’s it. A few years later it was announced that a spin-off franchise will take place. There’s no way the studio responsible for LOTR or THE HOBBIT will quit. It just won’t happen. The only thing that won’t happen is Peter Jackson most likely has finished with Middle Earth and won’t be returning to the director’s chair but will be an executive producer on further planned sequels.

The movie is so awesome that I watched twice! (And still not enough) haha. I grew up with Lotr and have the whole set of DVDs at home. I seriously love all the casts and so glad that some of them are able to continue their roles in The Hobbit. I definitely love Thranduil in this movie. Lee Pace is perfect for that role like really. Legolas is as cool and beautiful like 11yrs ago as elf.
