The latest trailer has arrived for The Imitation Game, in which Benedict Cumberbatch stars as Enigma code-breaker Alan Turing, Bletchley Park’s secret weapon in the Second World War.
A precociously talented mathematician, the other side of Turing’s story was his homosexuality, and the persecution he faced as a result of it.
This latest trailer does a decent job of juggling the film’s dual aspects as both thriller and emotional drama, with Turing’s inner turmoil juxtaposed nicely by his professional brilliance.
Take a look at the new trailer, below…
Cumberbatch looks to have turned in an Academy-bothering performance in the central role, and with a top-notch British cast backing him up, this looks to be one of the highlights of the upcoming awards season…
Directed by Morten Tyldum and co-starring Keira Knightley, Charles Dance, Mark Strong and Matthew Goode, The Imitation Game will open in the UK on 14 November 2014.
