Yes, that’s right Grumpy Cat (real name Tardar Sauce), the internet’s favourite meme-inspiring moggy is getting her own full-length movie and the first trailer has just been released.

‘Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever’ is set to air on American TV channel Lifetime on 29 November, with Aubrey Plaza lending her dour tones as the voice of the eponymous feline heroine.
Here’s the official synopsis:
In “Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever,” Grumpy Cat is a lonely cat living in a mall pet shop. Because she always gets passed over and never gets chosen by customers, this kitty develops a sour outlook on life until…one day during the holidays, a very special 12-year-old girl named Chyrstal enters the pet store and falls in love with Grumpy Cat. A unique friendship is formed between the two when Chyrstal finds she is the only person who can hear this unique feline talk. In the middle of the holiday rush, Grumpy reluctantly thwarts the kidnapping of an expensive exotic dog she can’t stand and rescues Chyrstal after the mall closes on Christmas Eve. Will Grumpy Cat learn the true meaning of Christmas, or will it be in Grumpy’s words, “Worst. Christmas. Ever?”
Tardar Sauce became an internet sensation in 2012 when her owners posted pictures of her on Reddit, prompting hundreds of ‘Memes’ to be created in her unhappy-looking image.
The cat’s owner Tabatha Bundesen says Tardar appears grumpy because it suffers from feline dwarfism and an underbite, but she’s actually a really friendly moggy in real life.
She has her own manager now and the company that owns the rights to her image - Grumpy Cat Limited - is said to be worth $1m.
