Mark Wahlberg has committed to a "couple more" films in the Transformers series.
The actor confirmed in an interview with MTV that he had signed on for a multi-picture deal, and Transformers 5 would most likely start shooting soon.
"Yeah, I committed to doing a couple more," he told MTV. "You know, I can't speak for Mr.
Bay, but something tells me we'll be on the set soon."Wahlberg first joined the enormous toy franchise with this year's Transformers: Age of Extinction, replacing previous lead actor Shia LaBeouf.
Age of Extinction was a critical bomb, and grossed the lowest US domestic box-office in the series, but did massively well in the all-important international markets, particularly China, leading to a billion-dollar overall gross.
Paramount, unsurprisingly, are keen for another sequel, and Transformers 5 is expected in 2016. Michael Bay looks set to direct again.
