It’s been 50 years since Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer tied the knot onscreen in The Sound of Music, the 1965 film musical about the von Trapp family singers and their flight from the Nazis. In celebration of the film’s golden anniversary, Vanity Fair reunited its two stars and asked them a surprising question: If each of them could go back and change one thing in The Sound of Music, what would it be?
Opinion:
I so loved this movie when I was younger, still do today, but there was something about it playing on TV back in the '60's and '70's.
My mom would have dinner a little earlier to make sure we had plenty of time to eat and do the dishes. Then my sister or I would hop in the shower and wash our hair quickly so the other would have time to do the same. Then it was time and we would all be in the living room ready for the show to start. It brings back such good memories of family time, when it was my Daddy, my mom, my sister and I. Things were so much simpler back then.
