Ever since it was revealed earlier this month that Marvel Studios had cut a deal with Sony to bring Spider-Man into the proper Marvel cinematic universe, I've been vocal on Twitter and elsewhere that I hope they go with the modern Miles Morales identity for Spider-Man rather than the classic Peter Parker.
Against my own expectations, it sounds like this wish may actually come true.Opinion:
No. A million gallons of no. Spiderman standing alongside cap and iron man and hulk, NEEDS to be the proper Spiderman. Now, if they want to make a change after a couple of movies? Im okay with that...but fans DESERVE to see the real Spiderman standing beside the real Avengers crew. This is the one and only chance they will ever have to do that. Just like X3 #$%$ off the real fans by what they did with 'the Original XMen' in that film, this would have an even worse impact on Marvels fans.
