The award nominations was held in Beverly hills this year.
Main category "best film" received such nominees: "American sniper," "The Imitation Game," "Selma," "The Theory of Everything" and "The Grand Budapest Hotel".
By the way, the best actress in this year can be Marion Cotillard, felicity Jones, Julian Moore, Rice Witherspoon or Rosamund Pike.

I've never heard of this "Dick Poop" (hee hee) let alone the movie that he got nominated for. proof once again how cinematically challenged my little town can be. *sigh*.

I'm surprised about American Sniper, It hasn't arrived to my country yet but I'm sure will see it... as per Boyhood vs Birdman, hands down: Birdman... I liked both, Boyhood is nostalgic and everything but, you don't get to tell me that Richard Linklater influenced in how the boy grew in anyway which is the only gimmick this movie has... the structure in narration is none, the conflict is none, is about life, which is something we all as human beings live in our daily lives... he just came back every year to film a 20 minutes scene that leave you without knowing what happened in between when the boy was growing, because it didn't matter, nothing happened, as in the movie itself, nothing happens, is a boy that grows, nothing else. Yet Birdman, is a damn crazy experiment you won't see again...

It always amazes me how it is popular to simply snub someone or a film, just because it is popular or any other silly reason. It happens each year, where an exceptional score or actor is snubbed, for reasons not related to the quality of work.
