Downey JR.
brought up some thing that has bothered me since they started making these comic book movies, and that's the age of the actors playing the part. The companies that make them know they are going to have sequels so why are they picking older actors to play them? Downey was 43 when the first Iron Man came out & he'll be 50 this year. Now that's not old but the time it takes them to make a movie 2-3 yrs how many more times can he play the part & do it justice, he even said so. In the Avengers series the 2 oldest actors are Downey 50 & Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) 47, all the other actors are 31-34 yrs old this year. When movies like these are made the audience gets attached to the character & the actor who portrays them, Take the 4 Batman movies back in the 90's, in a 8ys span they had 3 different actors playing Batman. What would the reaction be if they replayed Downey & have someone else play Tony Stark/Iron Man in Captain America: Civil War?? The upcoming new Batman on top of choosing the wrong actor Affleck will be 44 when it finally comes out. And the have announced 2 other movies with him as Batman, barring any delays he'll be close to 50 when the 3rd one comes out. All I am saying is these studios need to pick a younger actor to play these characters & not pick one because they have a name. If the movie is written & directed right they don't need a big name actor to play the part.
